Our Purpose

The MG Foundation was established in 2023 to honor the legacy of Miguelina Gonzalez, a dedicated educator for over 30 years and a compassionate midwife. Though she left her home in Peru in 2001, her lifelong spirit of service remains the heartbeat of our organization.

We believe that true impact begins at home. While our mission is global, our hands are firmly planted in our local community. We don't just talk about change; we show up—at 2:00 AM or 6:00 PM—to ensure no one in our community is left behind.

In just a few short years, we have turned your support into tangible action:

• Supporting Students & Families: Awarded multiple scholarships to local seniors and partnered with CASA to furnish rooms for children in foster care.
• Empowering Educators: Our annual Teacher Christmas Giveaway has fulfilled the classroom wish lists of teachers across Carrollton High, Central High, Unity Elementary, and Atkinson Elementary.
• Crisis & Prevention: We’ve partnered with the Carroll County Family Connection for suicide prevention training and provided critical Spanish interpretation services for the Carroll County Advocacy Center.
• Feeding the Hungry: Every October, in honor of Miguelina’s birthday, we serve over 200 hot meals and hygiene kits to those facing homelessness.
• Global Education: In 2025, we are proud to sponsor the University of West Georgia’s Study Abroad Food Tour in Peru!
